The first ever Laurel Lawn Mower Race and Chili Cook-off was held at the Laurel Community Center Athletic Field Saturday, September 19, 2009. All proceeds benefit the Fourth of July Committee. Laurel, Maryland will also be the city hosting the 9th annual Great American 250 at the Laurel Moose Lodge 1504 Sunday October 11, 2009, from 12:00-4:00PM.
